Musical Styles: Classic Guitar Sounds that Cross Styles, including Jazz, Pop and Blues
Arnell studied classical music at Prince George's Community College for two years, as well as Howard University in Washington DC. Some of the renowned guitarists Arnell has studied under are: Fred Karns, Bill Biesecker, and Paul Bellenbach (the jazz guitarist touring with Jimmy Smith). He is no stranger to the music community with credits of performing with various R&B artists such as: Shanice Wilson, Eddie Murphy, The Gap Band, Bernie Wornell of P-Funk, Star Point, Maniquin Fevith(vocalist)Kenny Latimore.
More recently he has toured with Aaron Carter, younger brother of Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys), Johnny Gil from New Edition. Arnell has toured extensively throughout America as well as abroad. Some of the exciting places he has had the pleasure of touring through are: Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, The Caribbean, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau & Vietnam.
Arnell has done TV spots for Disney, The Arsenio Hall Show, and even the first Jay Leno show with Shanice Wilson.
Almost every jazz musician I know dreams about owning his or her own club. If I had my own place, I'd want it to be just like the Jazz Corner. It's one of the classiest, "grooviest" clubs in which I've had the pleasure of performing. (I'm still trying to figure out if it's a great jazz club that's also a first-class restaurant, or the other way around!)
