Musical Styles:
Saxophonist and flutist Randall Reese lives in Savannah, where he teaches in the music program at Armstrong Atlantic State University and directs the AASU Jazz Ensemble. Reese and trombonist Teddy Adams are co-directors of the Savannah Jazz Orchestra, a 16 member ensemble that presents an annual concert series in Savannah. Guests with the SJO have included Kevin Mahogany, Diane Schuur, Vincent Herring, Jimmy Heath, Benny Golson, Clark Terry, Bobby Watson and Fred Wesley.
Almost every jazz musician I know dreams about owning his or her own club. If I had my own place, I'd want it to be just like the Jazz Corner. It's one of the classiest, "grooviest" clubs in which I've had the pleasure of performing. (I'm still trying to figure out if it's a great jazz club that's also a first-class restaurant, or the other way around!)
